CVs submitted in Portuguese will not be considered.nMain Duties and ResponsibilitiesnInstruction and Student SupportnAssist the classroom teacher in implementing daily routines and play-based learning activities.nSupport individual students or small groups in developing early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.nEncourage student engagement, independence, and positive interactions with peers.nHelp guide children through transitions and daily classroom routines.nReinforce classroom expectations and support positive behavior development.nCare and Well-being of StudentsnSupport the physical and emotional well-being of young children throughout the school day.nAssist with basic care needs (e.g., transitions, organization of personal belongings, supervision during snack, bathroom routines as appropriate).nMaintain a warm, caring, and responsive approach to student needs.nMonitor student safety during classroom activities, recess, and transitions.nClassroom Environment and MaterialsnPrepare, organize, and maintain classroom materials, learning centers, and resources.nAssist with set-up and clean-up of classroom activities and learning spaces.nEnsure that the classroom environment remains safe, clean, and conducive to learning.nSupport the organization of displays, student work, and classroom documentation.nCollaboration and Professional PracticenWork collaboratively with the classroom teacher and Early Years team.nCommunicate respectfully and professionally with students, staff, and families as directed.nShare observations of student behavior, development, and needs with the teacher.nParticipate in meetings, training sessions, and professional learning opportunities as required.nDemonstrate professionalism in attendance, punctuality, confidentiality, and conduct.nnCertifications and EducationnRequirednBachelor degree.nDesirednCoursework or degree in Early Childhood Education, Pedagogy, or a related field.nTraining or certification in early childhood care and education.nExperiencenRequirednExperience working with young children in a school, childcare, or similar setting.nDesirednExperience in early childhood or preschool environments.nExperience working in international or multicultural settings.nExperience supporting play-based or inquiry-based learning environments.nKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesnRequirednProficiency in English.nAbility to work effectively with young children in a nurturing and structured environment.nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with children.nOrganizational skills and attention to detail.nAbility to follow guidance and collaborate as part of a teaching team.nBasic communication skills in English (and/or Portuguese depending on context)nDesirednUnderstanding of early childhood development and play-based learning.nAbility to support children with diverse learning needs.nFamiliarity with basic educational technology tools.
